  1. Live Market Pricing & Quote Validity

1.1 Live Component Valuation: Due to high volatility in global supply chains, raw materials, and hardware availability, component pricing changes daily. All system specifications and pricing provided via our website, social media channels, or direct email (info@pctechguyonline.com) are estimates only until explicitly finalized upon formal order processing.

1.2 Invoice Expiry: Any custom digital invoice or written quote issued by PcTechGuyOnline is valid for a maximum window of 24 hours from the exact timestamp of issue. If payment is not cleared within this 24-hour window, the quote expires automatically, and components must be re-priced against current trade market value before a new invoice can be generated.

2. Upfront Sourcing Deposits & Contract Formation

2.1 100% Custom Deployment Funding: By accepting an invoice for a bespoke, built-to-order system, the Client acknowledges that PcTechGuyOnline operates a client-funded custom manufacturing pipeline. No physical components will be reserved, allocated, or ordered from trade distributors until the invoice balance has cleared 100% in full via our authorized payment gateways or via cleared BACS bank transfer.

2.2 Material Allocation: Receipt of your upfront payment constitutes a binding contract and grants PcTechGuyOnline immediate authorization to purchase specialized components, hardware, and sub-assemblies on the Client’s behalf from our trade distribution network.

3. Custom Goods Exemption & Non-Cancellation Policy

3.1 Statutory Consumer Rights Exemption: The Client explicitly acknowledges that all custom gaming builds, workstations, and streaming configurations assembled by PcTechGuyOnline constitute goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized goods.

3.2 Cancellation Restrictions: Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard statutory 14-day "cooling-off" right to cancel does not apply to bespoke custom computer systems once component procurement has commenced.

3.3 Procurement Fees: If a cancellation request is submitted before physical assembly begins but after components have been purchased from distributors, the client will be subject to a restocking and administration fee of 15% of the total invoice value to cover distributor return freight, credit processing fees, and administrative labor. Once physical assembly or automated stress-testing has commenced, the order is entirely non-refundable.

 Clause 3.4. IT Repair Services, Diagnostics, & Cancellation Fees

3.4.1 Bench Diagnostic Fee Commitment:
For all general IT repair services, individual component troubleshooting, software configurations, malware removals, or hardware diagnostic bookings dropped off at or collected by PcTechGuyOnline, a non-refundable Minimum Bench Diagnostic Fee of £45.00 applies. This fee directly covers up to 1 hour of professional technician assessment, hardware profiling, and fault isolation labor.

3.4.2 Authorization of Repairs:
Upon completion of the initial diagnostic assessment, PcTechGuyOnline will provide the Client with an explicit parts-and-labor repair quote via email (info@pctechguyonline.com) or text.

If the Client Approves the Quote: The initial £45.00 diagnostic fee will be fully absorbed into the final total cost of the approved repair invoice.

If the Client Rejects the Quote (Service Cancellation): The Client may choose to cancel the repair service at this stage. However, the system will not be released, reassembled, or returned until the £45.00 Minimum Bench Diagnostic Fee has been paid in full to cover the physical technical labor already executed unless otherwise confirmed in message/writing

3.4.3 Cancellation of Mid-Progress Services:
If a Client authorizes a complex repair or data recovery service and subsequently requests a cancellation while work is actively in progress, the Client shall be liable to pay for all technical labor hours accumulated up to the exact point of written cancellation (billed at our standard bench rate of £45.00 per hour), plus the 100% non-refundable trade cost of any specialized, non-returnable components or software licenses already ordered for that specific repair profile.

3.4.4 Abandoned Equipment Protocol:
If a service is cancelled or completed, and the Client fails to pay the outstanding bench diagnostic fee or collect their physical equipment within 30 calendar days of receiving their final invoice or cancellation notification, the hardware will be legally classified as abandoned. In accordance with the UK Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, PcTechGuyOnline reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, or sell the equipment at public or private sale to recover unpaid technical labor costs and storage overheads.

4. Component Availability & Equivalent Substitutions

4.1 Distributor Stock Realities: In the rare event that a specific component (e.g., a exact brand variant of an RTX GPU, RAM kit, or motherboard) becomes out of stock at our distributors between the time of invoice payment and order allocation, PcTechGuyOnline reserves the right to substitute the component.

4.2 Equivalence Guarantee: Any component substitution will strictly be for a hardware part of equal or superior performance, specifications, and retail value compared to the original component quoted. We will always prioritize matching the aesthetic requirements (e.g., an all-white build layout) requested in the client's build profile.

 5. Logistics, Third-Party Couriers, & Delivery Conditions

5.1 Third-Party Freight Liability: For all orders outside of our local Bristol hand-delivery zone, PcTechGuyOnline utilizes tracked, insured premium third-party couriers (such as DPD Local or DHL/Royal Mail). Once a system is handed over to the courier, the physical risk of transit passes to the courier network.

5.2 Transit Damage Reporting Window: The Client must inspect the external packaging and the physical internal layout of the computer system immediately upon delivery. Any transit damage (such as broken tempered glass, structural dents, or dislodged components) must be documented with photographic evidence and reported to info@pctechguyonline.com within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made outside this 48-hour window cannot be validated against the courier's transit insurance policy and will be rejected.

5.3 Internal Protective Packaging Warning: High-end systems may ship with internal expanding foam packaging (e.g., Instapak) to secure the graphics card. The Client must completely remove all internal protective foam before powering the system on for the first time. Failure to do so voids any structural or thermal warranty coverage.

6. Two-Year Return-to-Base (RTB) Labour Warranty

6.1 Core Hardware Coverage: PcTechGuyOnline provides a comprehensive 2-Year Return-to-Base (RTB) Labour Warranty on the core central processing tower unit (including CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU, cooling systems, and storage devices). This covers the diagnostic time and physical assembly labor required to swap out a faulty component.

6.2 Manufacturer Parts Warranty: Component parts are simultaneously backed by their respective manufacturer warranties (varying from 2 to 5+ years depending on the brand). We will facilitate the physical replacement using these manufacturer channels on your behalf during your 2-year RTB period.

6.3 Technical Support Lifetime Access: Outside of hardware failures, the Client retains access to free baseline remote technical support via email or our community channels for the lifetime of the PC.

6.4 Sourcing Channels & Distribution RMA Timelines:
As an authorized system builder utilizing official UK trade distribution networks (including Target Components and VIP Computer Centre) and direct component manufacturers, PcTechGuyOnline adheres strictly to formal commercial Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) testing and replacement processing protocols.

6.5 Diagnostic and Turnaround Benchmarks:
In the event of a component failure requiring warranty service, the resolution timeline is subject to third-party commercial verification windows. The baseline stages are governed as follows:

Phase 1: In-House Diagnostics (2 to 5 Working Days): Upon the system arriving safely at our Bristol facility, our technicians require a diagnostic window to isolate the hardware fault, perform individual component testing, and run targeted diagnostic checks.
Phase 2: Distribution/Manufacturer Fulfillment (7 to 28 Working Days): Once the specific faulty component is identified, it must be formally shipped back through our trade channels for testing, validation, and replacement allocation. The replacement timeframe is dictated entirely by distributor inventory availability and manufacturer processing queues. PcTechGuyOnline makes no legal guarantee of immediate stock substitution for rare or high-value items (such as top-tier GPUs or specific motherboard layouts).

6.6 Force Majeure & Global Supply Chain Extensions:
The Client acknowledges that global hardware allocation constraints, manufacturer backlogs, or unexpected customs delays may occasionally extend component replacement windows beyond 28 working days. PcTechGuyOnline commits to keeping the Client consistently updated via email (info@pctechguyonline.com) but shall not be held liable for temporary system downtime, extended delivery delays, or lost personal productivity while awaiting replacement components from external distribution channels.

7. Warranty Exclusions & Return Freight Transit Costs

7.1 Component Perimeter Exclusions: The 2-Year RTB Warranty strictly covers the custom computer tower unit itself. It completely excludes any external peripherals, bundle accessories, mousepads, keyboards, audio devices, sim rigs, streaming kits, capture cards, or external monitors. Monitors and third-party peripherals are covered solely by their respective manufacturer’s standard commercial warranties.

7.2 Software & User-Induced Exclusions: This warranty does not cover software corruption, Windows operating system errors, driver conflicts, malware, viruses, or hardware faults caused by user accidental damage, liquid spills, unauthorized overclocking, bios bricking, or opening/modifying internal components.

7.3 Return Shipping Responsibility: The 2-Year Warranty is strictly operated on a Return-to-Base (RTB) framework. In the event of a suspected hardware fault requiring physical inspection, the Client is solely responsible for arranging and paying the postage/freight costs to safely ship the system back to our Bristol facility. The system must be sent in its original heavy-duty double-walled transit box and original internal foam molding to prevent transit destruction. PcTechGuyOnline will cover the return courier shipping costs to send the repaired machine back to the client.

7.4 User-Induced Modifications, Hardware Adjustments, & Software Boundaries:
The 2-Year Return-to-Base Labour Warranty is strictly conditional upon the system remaining in the verified hardware configuration delivered by PcTechGuyOnline. The following technical exclusions apply in full:A. Component Removal & Self-Upgrades: While we support the enthusiast community, any damage caused by the Client removing, swapping, or upgrading internal components—including but not limited to the Graphics Card (GPU), System Memory (RAM), CPU, or CPU Cooler/Fans—is entirely excluded. If a component is improperly seated, statically discharged, or physically cracked during user handling, the entire warranty is voided.
B. BIOS Updates & Firmware Flashing: Motherboard BIOS updates carry inherent stability risks. Any system failure, mother-board "bricking," or corruption caused by a user attempting a self-initiated BIOS update, firmware flash, or VBOS graphics update is explicitly excluded from coverage. Remedying a bricked BIOS will incur standard out-of-warranty diagnostic and repair bench fees.
C. Overclocking & Performance Tuning: All systems are professionally configured and optimized before delivery. The application of user-induced manual voltage adjustments, aggressive RAM overclocking profiles beyond stable EXPO/XMP parameters, or third-party GPU software overclocking that induces thermal or electrical degradation will immediately void the warranty on all affected components.
D. Signs of Environmental & Physical Misuse: PcTechGuyOnline reserves the right to reject warranty claims if internal inspection reveals definitive signs of user misuse. This includes excessive interior dust blockages due to poor room placement, evidence of pet hair clogging cooling fins, liquid spills, impact drops, unauthorized case modifications, or operation in smoke-heavy or poorly ventilated environments.
E. Total Software & Update Exclusion: Software is completely excluded from this hardware warranty. PcTechGuyOnline is not responsible for resolving Windows operating system corruptions, driver conflicts introduced by the user, malware/virus infections, game anti-cheat flags, or failures caused by the misconfiguration of third-party optimization applications. Crucially, this exclusion extends to system instability, boot loops, or driver failures caused directly or indirectly by automated Microsoft Windows Updates, operating system patches, or third-party game engine updates. Software troubleshooting, OS reinstalls, and system rollbacks resulting from update errors are treatable strictly as billable, out-of-warranty technical services.

 8. Proprietary Software, Performance Tools, & OS Modifications

8.1 Digital Asset Licensing: PcTechGuyOnline may provide proprietary software, customized operating system profiles (e.g., Crimson Core OS), or performance optimization tools (e.g., Pc Optimizer Pro APP). These digital tools are provided strictly on a single-user, non-exclusive license for personal use on the purchased system only.

8.2 Disclaimer of Software Performance: While our optimization apps and custom operating systems are designed to maximize gaming efficiency and frame rates, PcTechGuyOnline makes no legally binding guarantees regarding specific in-game frame-per-second (FPS) targets, benchmark metrics, or latency reductions. Third-party game updates, anti-cheat software changes, and Windows updates may alter performance dynamics outside of our control.

8.3 Software Liability Limitation: Under no circumstances shall PcTechGuyOnline be held liable for system instability, software game bans, anti-cheat triggers, or data loss resulting from the use, modification, or configuration adjustments of our optimization tools or custom operating system deployments.

9. Electrical Safety, UKCA/CE Compliance, & Power Requirements

PcTechGuyOnline strongly mandates that the computer system be connected to the mains grid via a high-quality, dedicated surge-protected extension lead or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Damage to components resulting from domestic power surges, brownouts, lightning strikes, or faulty home wiring is explicitly excluded from our 2-Year Labour Warranty.

10. Data Protection, Privacy, & Drive Disposal

10.1 Diagnostic Data Handling: During custom builds, repair procedures, or data recovery operations, our technicians may have temporary access to the Client’s storage drives. In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, PcTechGuyOnline maintains strict confidentiality protocols. No client data is copied, stored externally, or reviewed beyond what is computationally necessary to verify hardware stability.

10.2 Component Testing Profiles: The Client agrees that PcTechGuyOnline may log baseline, anonymized hardware benchmark data and thermal scores to maintain internal quality control records and build profiles.

11. Right to Refuse Service & Limitation of Liability

11.1 Service Refusal: PcTechGuyOnline reserves the absolute right to cancel, refund, or refuse any custom build commission, order, or technical repair service at our sole discretion due to pricing display errors, supplier part sudden unavailability, or abusive/hostile behavior directed toward our staff.

11.2 Cap on Commercial Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by English law, the total financial liability of PcTechGuyOnline (legally operating as a sole trader) for any single claim arising out of or in connection with the supply of a custom computer system—whether in contract, tort, or breach of statutory duty—shall strictly be capped at and limited to the exact total cash amount paid by the Client for that specific order. We shall not be liable for any indirect commercial losses, loss of streaming revenue, competitive gaming tournament disqualifications, or secondary data losses.

 Anti-Piracy & Zero-Liability Software Clause

8.4 Strict Prohibition of Unauthorized Distribution:
The PCTG Optimizer Pro APP and Crimson Core OS deployment profiles are the exclusive intellectual property of PcTechGuyOnline.A. Single-License Enforcement: Purchase or download of our software grants the Client a non-transferable, single-user digital license tied explicitly to their designated system.
B. Anti-Piracy Mandate: Any unauthorized distribution, file-sharing, public hosting, reverse-engineering, modification, de-compiling, or commercial re-selling of PCTG Optimizer Pro or related optimization binaries is strictly illegal.
C. Legal Recourse: Any breach of this distribution policy will result in the immediate and permanent revocation of all system hardware warranties, lifetime technical support, and user licenses. PcTechGuyOnline reserves the right to pursue full civil and statutory damages under UK copyright and intellectual property laws against any individual or entity distributing our software without written authorization.
8.5 Total Software Absolute Zero Liability Disclaimer:
